Bellabox October

Bellabox this month not only have turned ONE but also turned PINK!!! As October marks the month to support the National Breast Cancer Foundation but also Bellabox are donating a $1 from every box sold to the Look Good Feel Better Foundation. It nice to know that not only did I receive a beautiful box, a birthday treat but have helped a worthwhile charity in the process.

So what was inside... Well the photo above kinda gives it away but I will go through all the things individually anyway.

Nak Care 4 Ends Leave in Moisturiser. $13.95 for 200ml
This was at the top of the box and I was amazed to see a full sized product straight up and reading the packaging I was astounded by the amount of things this cream can do. As a moisturiser, detangler, Uv and thermal protector as well as increasing softness of the hair and restoring shine. I'm excited to give this product a go. I prefer all in one products so it will probably get more use than most of the other products in my bathroom cabinet at the moment.

Estee Lauder Resilience Lift Instant Action Lift Treatment 30ml $100.
This tube may be small (5ml sample) but I feel this tube will pack a punch. Able to lift and firm the skin with long term use boosting the skins collagen production and elastin retention. Despite that I'm in my late twenties and probably be using a skin treatment I'm also fairly forgetful when it comes to using treatments consistently. So this whenever where ever product is ideal and as a bonus it can be used over makeup!!!!

Clinique Turnaround Concentrate Extra Raidiance Renewer. 30ml for $74 and 50ml for $102.  Now I know what your thinking expensive!!! But this is the best part of beauty boxes you get to try before you buy with no guilt trip into buying something at the counter to make up for receiving a free sample or even having to buy the full size straight away just to give it a go. Reading the BB info card it informs that this serum exfoliates the skin and promotes skin renewal without causing irritation. It was that statement that has prompted me to want to give this a go I hate wanting to use a product but in the back of my mind knowing that it will most likely irritate my skin and cause breakouts.
Have not had a chance to try but will keep you updated on the result.

Sally Hansen Insta Dry Fast Dry Nail Colour 9.17ml $13.95 and I recieved the colour 150 Petal Pusher. Another full size product YAY!! don't you just love birthdays!!! This fast drying nail polish is a god send to the impatient like me I don't really paint my nails too often but when I do I want instant results. I also already own this colour so without even opening this one I know its a great base for a traditional french manicure but also a great colour that gives a little more than clear but soft enough to wear everyday.

Prestige Cosmetics Skin Nude Foundation 25ml for $24.99.
Was excited to see this sample sized addition as I have recently read an glowing review about this foundation and wanted to give it a go. The shade I recieved is 02 not sure if this will be a perfect match but I like that I can give it a go see how it feels wears and reacts with my oily combination skin.

Carmex Moisture Plus Ultra Hydrating Lip Balm Sheer Pink Tint $8.99. Yet another full size product and the one I am most excited to try. I reguarly use the clear version of this product and when I heard Carmex were bringing out the pink tint version I was excited to give a try. These lip balms are the best of both worlds you get the moisturisation and tingle of the Original Carmex (the one in the pot with the yellow lid) plus a gloss all in a handy twist up. Love love love!!!

DKNY Fresh Blossom Eau So Intense 100ml $135. Before I had even opened my box I could smell this scent and it certainly lived up to the intense name but at the same time a scent that I feel is wearable. Sadly the reason behind my intence hit was that the vial of perfume had broken during transit so I wont get to see what its like on the skin.

Last but not least Bella box included a sweet treat in the form of a Chocolatier Pink heart chocolate these are yummy and I certainly have enjoyed others from previous boxes but this one smells like perfume so probably wont be giving it a go!!!

Overall this box is amazing I feel I have received a birthday gift and its not even my birthday. These boxes are great value and I enjoy that you get a little bit of everything with every box and for $14.95 including postage its a steal!!!. http://bellabox.com.au/ this is the Bella Box website and I recommend you give it a go if you don't already!!!

Hope your having a wonderful day
Catch you soon

Mascara Madness

YAY!!! my first Make up product post!!! I'm so excited that I am finally getting this blog going and that I am semi confident enough to put this one out there everyone to read. I hope you enjoy its only a quick post in what I hope will be a series. Mascara is something I use most days and despite the fact that packaging says you can use for six months once opened my eyes do not agree. I have a tendency to rotate through a couple of mascaras and generally only use them for a couple of months. So onto the mascaras in question the last couple of months have been Almay's One Coat Get up and Grow in 010 Blackest black, Maybelline's the One by One Volum' Express in Satin Black and Australis' Lash TLC in blackest black.

I start with the Maybelline as out of the three it was my least favourite. At the time of buying this mascara it was really the price that was the selling point after seeing it around for $12-14 dollars. I found it in a clearance bin in Woolworths for $8.95. I was in need of a new mascara and thought I would give it a go. The brush is one of the rubber ones with little spikes to catch your lashes the back of the tube says that it catches, coats and cleans, in this respect advertising is true and lives up to its One by One title as lashes a caught, coated and separated. On the down side however NO volume. I expected darker and fuller lashes and really all I got was lashes that looked like my own and felt a little sticky!!! More natural look that volumised. I'm not sure whether this is a design issue with the brush but if volume and thicker lash look is what you want don't bother.

The next is Almay's One Coat Get up and Grow this mascara I received in a monthly subscription box. I was excited this mascara claims to help lashes grow longer and vitamin infused formula helps guard against damage and breakage. To be honest I'm really not sure whether it did or didn't what I loved about this mascara is the brush its a regular bristle type brush just a little larger than your used too but makes sure this mascara lives up to its name of one coat!! And it means ONE coat you need no more to do its job and it does clump slightly if you do but you don't have to do anything else one swipe and go. I also really enjoy that you pull the brush out and don't have a huge glob of mascara on the tip no need for a tissue to wipe excess off or ending up with product build up at the top of the tube!!! It's not a volumising mascara but you do get definition.

The last is my current favourite...... Australis' Lash TLC (Tender Lovin' Care) conditioning mascara. At the moment this is my go to mascara it gives great definition  coats and separates the lashes without clumping. Its bristle brush is slim lined perfect for the inner corner lashes and does the lower lashes without smudges. The brief does say volume, lengthening and holding lash curl which I guess it does but its not a falsies look its more natural and defined like the Almay one coat you don't need heaps of coats for it to do the job but I do recommend using a little bit of a wiggle when you coat you top lashes just seems to help coat lashes better. This mascara also dries quickly without stickiness!!! Again I recieved this in a beauty box subscription but you can easily pick up from target and priceline.

Ok!! So much for a short post!! Hope everyone likes this please give feedback.
Will talk to you all soon
Thanks
