August Bellabox and July Review

Hey Readers,
Another month and another BB has landed on my door step!! Don't have much else to say so lets get into it!!!

July Review.

Model Co shadow stick in the shade Portofio

For me this was the most exciting product in last months box and I couldn't wait to use it. While this shadow is quite easy to use goes on smooth and blends well and pairs with other shadows. I was disappointed that the longevity just isn't there the colour faded on me after a few hours glad I got to try before I buy on this one.

Nuxe Rose Petals Cleansing Milk

Was interested to try a different product from Nuxe this month after receiving their much loved body oil a couple of times it was nice to try something new. I enjoyed this one its a very smooth and soft cleanser that blends into the skin and washes off well. From time to time the rose scent did get slightly overpowering but feeling how soft and smooth my skin is post use is worth it.

Essenza Fuss Free Naturals Facial Treatment Mask

As you know I usually say I will try these and then don't well this one was all set to be tried yes you read that right I was going to use this mask!! It was all ready sitting on my bathroom bench when my sister came over she saw it asked me what they where like I said I wasn't sure as I hadn't had a chance to try she said she was looking for something like that to try and I said well you can give it a go if you like. She liked it found it very moistursing and liked that it didn't have an over powering scent.

Palmolive Body Polish in Acai Berry

Its not a bad shower gel it cleans well and I was surprised by good the exfoliating polish worked. My only gripe with this one is I don't believe it actually contains Acai berry. If you read the ingredients list on the back of the bottle (Water, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Accrylates Cpolymer, Coccamidopropyl betaine, Sodium Chloride, Fragrance, Prunus Armeniaca (Apricot) Seed Powder, DMDM Hydantoin, Actinidia Chineses (Kiwi) seeds, Tetrasodium EDTA, Benzopnenone-4, Fragaria Vesca (Strawberry) Extract, Prunus Persica (Peach) Juice, Fructose, C1 17200, CI 42090)  Euterpe oleracea is the botanical name given to Acai berry and it doesn't appear on this ingredients list.  It's not a big deal really but I just don't appreciate the false advertising on behalf of palmolive.

Neutrogena Towelettes

As you know love these for travel they are so handy in this small pack. Great for makeup removal also good just for a freshen up whenever required.

Laura Mercier Foundation primer.

Really enjoyed this one goes on smooth doesn't have a greasy or slippery feel. Moisturises and sinks into the skin easily it definitely increases the longevity of foundation.

August Bellabox

Ok don't mean to start on a down note but this month there has been so many spoiler alerts when from Bellabox that most of the products in this box weren't a surprise while usually I can avoid the posts from BB and I usually don't open any emails there has been so many that its been hard to avoid what was going to be included this month. I am ok with what I have received but its so much better opening these boxes every month when its a complete surprise.

Max Factor Masterpiece Mascara received a full size
This mascara is said to deliver up to 400 percent volume with just one swipe giving volume, thickness and definition to every lash. Liking this inclusion to the box this month I enjoyed the last Max factor mascara I tried and interested to see if this one is as good as it says.

Pilaten Collagen Lip Mask received one mask full size is a pack of 3
This is a collagen lip masks that says it will restore moisture and plump lips after 20-30mins application. Not too sure about this one it looks very odd in the packaging and in pics on instagram and facebook. Not sure if I will try.

Dermasukin Daily Hydrating Wash received full size 250ml
This is a aloe vera and calendula based wash that says it will lock in moisture and cleans leaving the skin clean and hydrated. It also is fragrance and soap free. Interested to try this one see how it works.

Nip and Fab Glycolic Fix Pads received a pack of 5 full size is 60 pads.
These are exfoliating facial pads that are soaked in glycolic acid to help retexture and resurface the skin whilst including blue daisy to help moisturise and leave the skin brighter. Am interested to try I definitely have rough patches on my face that I would like to be smoother interested to see how they work.

Chapstick Night Repair received a full size tube (comes in a two pack with a day lip balm).
This is a lip treatment to help your lips repair themselves overnight. Have seen this a lot but never have picked up to try so happy to give a go always happy to try a new lip treatment.

Dermal Therapy Heel Balm Platinum
Not the most interesting bonus product for me personally but as dryness around the heels is something I battle from time to time happy to receive a sample of something to help.

So that ends this months box as I said while the products weren't a surprise I am interested in trying most of them and as usual I will tell you my thoughts next month. Until them happy reading and happy shopping!!

Review: Real Techniques Sculpting Set

Hey Readers, I hope this post finds you well today I am doing something a little bit different today and reviewing a set of makeup brushes. I had been planning to do this as a collection post detailing all the brushes I own and what I use them for (comment below if you wish to see that) but as I have so many brushes from this brand now I thought it probably easier to break it down into groups. I also have been wanting to tell you about these for a while. As you probably already know Real Techniques is the brush line brought to us by beauty vloggers and make artists Nicole and Samantha Chapman. This line of brushes is amazing and while I haven't tried them all, the ones I have tried are quite impressive and ones that I have been quite impressed with recently is the Sculpting set!!

The Real techniques Sculpting set is made up of three brushes the sculpting brush, the fan brush and the setting brush. As a set they are said to allow you to accentuate your favourite features. Create defined contours or simply enhance natural bone structure. All these brushes are synthetic and can be used with both cream and powder products.

Sculpting Brush
The description for this brush states that it has a wide angled head that is specifically designed to create defined contours. At first I wasn't sure about this brush as the head of the brush is quite wide and the bristles quite dense. In terms of a defined cheek contour I do find it is a bit wide for my small face in terms of contour on the forehead and around the jaw I do find it easy to blend out product over large areas. If I want a defined cheek bone I do have better luck using the angle tip for a more defined contour. As I said before cream, liquid and powder products this brush works well. And speaking of liquid products I also find this brush great for foundation I know it sounds odd but the bristles are soft and dense that I find it applies and blends foundation effortlessly all over the face its really quick and easy to use and it gives a flawless finish.

Fan Brush
Softly sweeps on powder and whisks away any excess makeup for an even finish. I was really excited to own this brush as I do not have another fan brush in my collection. It also lives up to its description allowing you to lightly highlight your cheeks, brow and cupids bow but also whisk any shadow fallout away. The bristles are quite soft so you really get the light hand effect when it comes to highlighter.

Setting Brush
The description for this brush is that it is key to completing any look with a controlled dusting of powder or highlight. I have used this brush for both contour and highlight it also works really nicely for concealer and powder under the eyes. Again the bristles are soft and dense so its great for both cream and powder products it also flat and tapered which makes it great for placing product under the eyes and blending out contour down the nose really enjoy this brush.

So that ends this post I hope you enjoy reading it and if you enjoyed this one. If you want to see more real techniques brushes posts please let me know. I am hope to do more as I really enjoy using the brushes from this range. Until next time Happy Reading and Happy Shopping!!!

July Bellabox and June Review

Hey Readers,
Another month another Bellabox, WOW did that go by quick for everybody else as it feels like I only wrote my last BB post a week ago!!!! As usual I  be reviewing the products from June and telling you all about my goodies for July!! So lets go!!!

June Review

Universal Beauty Cosmetics Nude Pink Tint Stick
This was definitely a bright inclusion to the box this month and not really my colour. While it goes on effortlessly and dries quick it really needs a balm or lip gloss to moisturise the lips.

Original Source Skin Quench Watermelon and Jojoba Oil
As a general rule I enjoy these shower gels and was really happy to try the newest scent in the range. Its a great body wash and this version definitely moisturises the skin. It also is a really great melon scent that isn't too overpowering.

Burts Bees Wax Lip Balm
I really enjoyed this lip balm I had forgotten just how good burts bees lip balms are. While I don't really like the peppermint smell and tingle it gives the lips the balm itself is really moisturing and my lips felt so soft post use it was worth it.

Joy Jean Patou Perfume sample
Overall a good scent was nice to use the small sample made it an easy inclusion to my handbag. It just isn't my most favourite scent and I most likely wouldn't buy the full size.

Aveda Damage Remedy Intensive Restructuring Treatment
Really enjoyed this product it was so easy to use and it left my hair feeling so soft. Its the first Aveda product I have really been impressed with from the first go and even with my long hair I didn't really need a tonne of product to get great results.

July Bellabox

Model Co Shadow Stick in the shade 03 Portofino
This is one of the latest products in the range for Modelco this shadow stick is a lightweight, creamy shadow that gives a beautiful wash of colour to the lid with a touch of shimmer. Portofino is a neutral bronze that will fit perfectly with most of the eye shadows in my collection. I am interested to see how it wears as a single shadow as well as how it pairs with others a great inclusion to this box.

Nuxe Rose Petals Cleansing Milk reccieved a 35ml sample full size is 200ml
This cleansing milk is based on rose petals and works to eliminate impurities and makeup whilst protecting the skin from dryness as well as having a non oily finish. Interested to try this I am constantly looking for a good all round makeup remover.

Essenza Fuss Free Naturals Facial Treament Mask
This is an anti aging and antioxidant mask that contains Moroccan Argan oil, vitamin E and C infused mask to help slow the aging process and help skin look brighter. Not sure if one face mask can slow the aging process but overall not a bad inclusion to this box.

Palmolive Body Polish Shower Gel recieved a 48ml sample full size is 400ml
I received this in the Acai Berry scent and the smell is gorgeous I cannot wait to try. I am interested to see how good the exfoliating component is.

Neutrogena Towelettes pack of 7 full size is 25 wipes.
Not the most exciting inclusion to this box as I have received this before many times from BB but none the less a handy product and I do prefer travelling with small packs of wipes where I can.

Laura Mercier Foundation Primer recieved a 3ml sachet full size is 50ml.
This is the bonus product for the box this month. Its a foundation primer that says it will create a smooth and invisible layer to prepare and protect the skin. Keeping your foundation fresh all day. Interested to try this one Laura Mercier products always come with good recommendations.

So that ends another great box from BB. This box is also the first box I have received since the recent price change to the monthly box charge that was announced back in March. While for $2.95  I didn't really expect a change in the amount of products or quality of the products as I am assuming this increase only really helps with postage charges I am happy that BB are continuing to send out a range of products and that the consistency with the boxes is remaining the same. I cannot wait to try these products and share my thoughts next month!!! Until then happy reading and happy shopping
