Maslow and Co Global

Hey Readers,
I hope this post finds you well. I know this post will go up while the festive season is in full swing but  my Maslow and Co Global box arrived during the week and I was so excited to see this one!! Not only have Maslow and Co shopped the best of beauty and skin care from all over the globe (UK, USA, Korea, New Zealand and Australia) for this box they also have included not one, not two but THREE makeup items!!!! So without too much more rambling lets get started......

Zelens Transformer Instant Renewal Mask received the travel size 15ml 
All the way from the UK this mask as the name suggests will transform your complexion to a firmer more refined state in 15 minutes all using plant based ingredients. Actually interested to try this is a wash off mask which I find less scary to use than sheet masks interested to see the results.

Manna Kadar Beauty Day Dream Palette received one
USA all the way with this beauty brand!! I was so excited to open this!! This is an all in one palette that looks like its perfect for gals like me that are on the go. Sporting 6 eye shadows both matte and shimmer, bronzer blush and highlight, Just add foundation really!! While I have not swatched yet I am thinking that pigmentation won't be a problem. I love that its neutral perfect for everyday. Cannot wait to try!!

Benefit Hoola Bronzer received a 3g deluxe travel size
WOW is all I can say for this product!! Maslow and Co must have read my mind, as this Christmas was finally going to buy this bronzer and see what the hype is all about. I have seen so many reviews raving about this I just finally wanted to actually try for myself. Will have to try see what its like and may have to buy the full size!!!

Tony Moly Petite Bunny Gloss Bar received one in the shade 02
This is the third and final makeup item for the box and even though I am not a big lip gloss I am still excited to see this. The packaging alone is so cute. The gloss itself it quite smooth there is only a small amount of tint to it but on the lips it seems quite moisturising and its not sticky. So far so good.

Wyte Luxe Whitening Applicator received a full size 5ml
This teeth whitener pen is from the Aussie brand Wyte. This gel in a pen this has a brush applicator that allows easy application to the teeth to make them brighter and whiter. Don't currently use any whitening products so interested to try!!

Beenigma Face cream received a 5ml deluxe travel size
Ok so this cream from New Zealand uses the sting from bees and combines it with Manuka Honey, Kawakana and Kiwifruit to produce a face cream that promotes the production of Collagen in the skin to both plump and smooth, whilst promoting healing to any problem areas. Not too sure about this one I have to say its almost on par with the snail face mask we got in the Korean box I want to see what its like but unsure if I am game enough to try!! We will see...

Neogen Bio Peel Gauze in Wine and Lemon received one of each.
I first thought these where face masks but after reading the booklet with the box I soon came to learn that this product is ahead of its game in the Korean market. Offering the best of both worlds when it comes to face exfoliation and peels. These are face pads infused to act both as a chemical peel but also have a textured side which allows for a mechanical peel as well. Something a little different interested to try!!

So that ends Maslow and Co Global box, I am really impressed by this box. I have received so many interesting products over the year and I am really interested to see what the next year holds.  As I am posting this while the festive season is in full swing. Empties!!! Hits and Misses #4

I hope this post finds you well. It has been over a month since my last post I apologise but it the end of the year is turning out to be a little bit bumpy so while my intention has been to post regularly,  I haven't been able to sit down at the computer and really focus on my blog. I am sorry if this reads like I am constantly making excuses for my lack of posting this year but my family has really needed me and I am hoping that things get smooth again soon. 

So onto this post Empties!! I have finished a lot of products in the last couple of months and as the bag that they are stored in is getting full I thought it was time I finally talked about them!! Best part is most of them a Hits!! so lets get to it!!


Hits

Formula 10.0.6 Three Times Sublime 100ml   
This is another repurchase product that I have spoken about a few times before!! (mini review here) Its just such a great in shower multitasker and I love the results it gives my skin.  

Ponds Clear Balance Oil Control Skin Mattifying Facial Foam 
Earlier this year I started changing up my skin care in order to help reduce the oiliness in my T zone at bay. While I love my combination skin it has its trying moments particuarly when your trying to keep foundation on your face all day!!! This definetly has helped improve the situation its a great creamy cleanser that also contains small exfoliating beads, its not to thick it foams well and washes off without leaving a residue. 

Bioderma Sebium Mat Moisturising Mattifying Fluid 
This was another product that I bought when I changed up my skin care at the time I had also been looking for a moisturiser that provided hydration without being really heavy. This is the perfect combination. This moisturiser has a gel like consistency its cooling on the skin and absorbs almost instantly. light on the skin and leaves no residue and perfect under makeup!!

Avene Cleance Mat Mattifying Emulsion 
This was a purchase from one of the 40% off skincare at Priceline sales and it recently featured in my 13 by Halloween Project Pan. Its been a favourite for a while, keep my skin hydrated and oiliness at bay, really light on the skin although I do find takes a little bit to sink in sometimes however its still great under makeup. Due to price point though I do only really repurchase when priceline has their 40% off sales!! 

Dirty Works All of a Lather Body Wash 
I bought this in a gift pack of Dirty works products as I wanted to try a few products from the range this was one of the first that I tried and I already purchased a full size. It not only cleans well but it also has a great scent. 

Milk Body Wash Rosemary Mint Aroma 
I purchased this when Ozsale where having a two for one sale on all Milk products. I acctually only wanted the beauty wipes but I was needing to spend a few more dollars in order to get free shipping!! Turns out its a great body wash. Not only does it smell amazing it foams and cleans well its gentle on the skin too.

OGX Cherry Blossom Shampoo 
I am still loving this brand of shampoo it just washes my hair so well and doesn't leave it unmanagable once dry while I do still prefer the coconut milk version (I know something coconut who would have thunk it!!) I picked this up simply for the scent it smells like raspberry cordial its really sweet but I have loved it and now its finished I will miss it :(

Covergirl Ready Set Gorgeous Foundation 
Such a great foundation and I think this may be my fourth tube. Its a medium to full coverage (buildable),  goes on easily and blends well. Stays all day never had it look cakey or discolour on my skin.  



Loreal Infallible 24hr Matte  
 Before now I never would have said that paying $30 for a loreal foundation would be worth it, but this foundation has changed that. Such an amazing formula particuarly for a high coverage foundation usually I have to work hard to have this type of foundation blend well without looking like a mask this goes on smooth and blends seamlessly. It also lasts all day (by all day I mean 8-12 hours of wear not 24!!!) and it has never turned orange or reacted with my oily T zone. I also love that it comes in a tube so you are able to dispense the perfect amount easily. 

Rimmel #Insta Flawless
I still cannot work out how this product does what it does but it does it and I love the results. I use this generally under foundation I find it just gives something to the finish of 
your chosen base that I really cannot put my finger on. It just lifts the look of your skin but its not glittery or shiny at all I really enjoy using this one!!

Maybelline Dark Circle Eraser in Medium
I have loved this for the longest time and I think this is my second or third tube!! As the name suggests perfect for concealing dark circles but I have also used it as a general concealer its perfect for redness as well. I love that its so creamy and it blends so easily!!

e.l.f Makeup Mist and Set
This may not look like much judging by the packaging and the price but this makeup mist and set really does the job. It goes on evenly and dries quite quickly and it really does help makeup to last all day I have repurchased although I am currently trying out a few different brands and at this point they don't quite compare!!

Milk and Co Beauty Wipes 25 wipes 
I have spoken about these a fair bit on this blog (Milk&Co Beauty Wipes) so I won't go on and on but overall I would like to say I still really enjoy these, they take off all makeup no matter how light or heavy and they are great for when you are too tired to take you make up off after a fun night out!!

Daiso Makeup Brush Cleaner 150ml 


Another repurchase and repurchase that once again I have raved about before but at the end of the day this stuff is good!!!! It not only gets makeup out of brushes but it does it quickly and easily no hard scrubbing required!! 


Misses

Rexona Motion Sense Shower Fresh Antiperspirant
Ok so the deodorant itself does the job so the reason I am calling this a miss is that whatever they put in this as a scent/propellant has quite a sharp smell and every time I would spray I would sneeze or my nose would feel irritated afterwards and this doesn't happen with any of the other scents in this same range!!

Plackers Hi Performance Dental Flossers 
While I loved the Fresh Mint version of these the regular just aren't the same. Not only do I prefer the mint flavour to the others. I also have found that the floss doesn't seem as strong as the mint version they still do and ok job but not as effectively as the others 

Maybelline 24 hr Color Tattoo Metal 
This is probably more of a fail on my behalf than the products but at the end of the day I  haven't really owned it for that long so I am calling it a Miss. This colour tatoo sadly is not empty however its dried up so much that I can no longer use it. In a way I guess I am more disappointed with myself that I didn't  get more use out of this however I used it everyday for a while there and just put in in my draw collection to rotate through a few items and I come back to it pretty much dried out!!!

Bellabox October

Hey Readers,

I hope this post finds you well. Its been a month nearly two months since my last BB post and there is primarily two reasons for this. Firstly my boxes do arrive towards the end of the month so Septembers box came in the last week of September which meant the weekend of the week it came was the October long weekend and I was able to take the opportunity to have a mini break so I went away instead of writing a blog post *insert cheeky grin here* Also things have been so busy for September and October my family have been celebrating our many birthdays and the pre christmas rush has started so there have been many shopping trips and events to attend. 

Any way despite all that my BB for October arrived and while it has sat for a while I am now able to tell you all the goodies I got inside!!! This months box came with the theme of Tis the season for spring racing so all products are themed towards looking glam for a day at the race track!!

Batiste Dry Shampoo received a 50ml in the scent Cherry.
This purse friendly size dry shampoo says it will soak up excess oil to help keep you hair looking shiny and full of volume and the scent means it also doubles as a fragrance. Not super excited about this one given I don't really use dry shampoo but great for travel. 

Shanghai Suzy Matte Formula Lipstick in Mrs French Winter Maroon. 
This lipstick is highly pigmented and long lasting. The shade Winter Maroon is a deep berry wine colour which to me really lends itself to winter more than spring nevertheless a great brand of lipsticks and I have enjoyed these in the past.

Neon and Co Hair Shot Ampoules received a 10ml sample 
This one bottle wonder says it will not only banish you tress stress but formulated with glycolic acid it will make your hair more manageable, strengthen, hydrate and protect your hair from heat styling!!!  Interested to give this a try my hair can always do with a pick me up.

St Tropez Self Tan Classic Bronzing Mousse 50ml and St Tropez Prep and Maintain Tan Applicator Mitt. 
This tanning duo from St Tropez offer not only  light weight, easy to apply streak free long lasting tanning mousse but also the mitt to help apply it. I have said this previously great duo to include in a box sadly I have received this before from another beauty box subscription so not that exciting again however great inclusion for the racing carnival/summer season.

Cetaphil Daily Advance Ultra Hydrating Lotion received a 10ml sample tube.

This is a  super hydrating lotion that says it will nourish and soften your skin from face to foot. Formulated with five moisturising ingredients, the light, creamy lotion absorbs easily for ultimate hydration for dry and very dry skin. I have already tried this lotion so I know that its a great product to have on hand and this 10ml tube is a really handy size as well.

Dermal Therapy Heel Balm received a 28g full size tube.

This heel balm quickly softens and heals dry, cracked heels and feet. Usually I wouldn't be that happy to see a heel balm included but as the weather has gotten warmer I have thought that I probably need some of this type of product so happy to see it included and very happy that this product says it will work within a day!!

13 by Halloween Project Pan ***Finale***

I hope this post finds you well. This week marks finally being at the end of my 13 by Halloween project pan and given Halloween was a Monday my whole weekend was filled with decorating, dressing up, tricking and treating (mostly treating I handed out a lot of lollies!!!) It was a lot of fun but left little time for a blog post. I however really wanted to finish this series so I today I bring you the finale to my 13 by Halloween Project Pan.

I started this project back in July with the thought it would be a lot of fun and that it would give me an opportunity to really look at the items I keep in my makeup draws but just don't use anymore and get rid of items that have been around for a while. The results I will say are mixed.

1. #28 Blush, 3. #34 Something Shimmery
Physicans Formula Happy Booster Glow and Mood Boosting Blush. and Physicans Formula powder palette Mineral Glow Pearls in the shade Beige Pearl.

At first having not to choose a blush everyday was pretty good particularly on the days that I was rushing to get out of the house and I have to say the the mineral glow pearls really have gotten me into using highlighter more even on a work day. However after a while it really has gotten hard to use these everyday and I found myself switching to new purchases or changing to other products in my collection just for something different. I have to say as well that it has been extremely frustrating to use these so much and not even see a dent in the surface or even hit pan they are like everlasting gobstoppers which I guess makes them value for money but painful when doing a project pan!!!

2. #25 Something in a Stick/Tube  
Bloom Foundation Stick in Base Three 
I am still not at the end of this tube even though I have used it as my foundation a few times. I will continue to use for touch ups though see if I can get through it.

4. #19 Matte Lip Product and 10. #47 Lip Gloss
Savvy by db Lipstick in the shade Nude

Max Factor Colour Intensifying Lip Balm in 40 Exquisite Caramel 

OK so after my update post in September these were my go to lip combination and I kept them in a small pocket at the top of my handbag to use them more this work for a while until they fell out of said pocket and ended up in the bottom of my handbag the where "lost" for a while and hence progress still isn't great!!! 


5. #43 A Neutral Coloured Item 
E.L.F Mineral Eyeshadow Primer in the shade Sheer. 
This is one product I made sufficient progress on with it coming to the end mid october it was sad as I had finally got into the routine of using a primer everyday so found myself always reaching for it as I don't have many others I will have to find a replacement.

6. #30 Nail Polish
Rimmel London 60 Seconds Super Shine Nail Polish in the shade 345 Black Cherries 
As I said in my update I would'nt be too crushed if this wasn't finished (and its not) I love the colour and I think its the longest I have worn a colour without getting bored!!

7. #40 Sample Products
I really made it my mission with this part of the project to use up as many sample as I could and from now on I am making an effort to use samples when I receive them rather than storing them up!!! 

8. #37 Maybelline Item  
Super Stay Better Skin Skin Perfecting Concealer in the shade Medium. 
This tube is still going I am not sure what it is but I really haven't had that many blemishes and my dark circles haven't been needing as heavy coverage. I still am loving it when I need it though the coverage is really good. 

9. #14 Something I have already hit pan on
Youngblood Pressed Mineral Foundation in the shade Neutral. 
The amount of pan showing has gotten bigger but I am still no where near the edge!!

11. #21 Something you regret purchasing 
Models Prefer Rose Nude 10 Shade Eyeshadow Palette
Still no closer to hitting pan on any of these and to be honest like the blush and highlight in this project I am really over these shadows. They are just such mixed quality and like all eyeshadow palettes they never have all the colours or shades you want!!! 

  
12. #45 Skin care Item 
MOR Orange Blossom Hand Cream 
Still a great hand cream and I have been using even though the weather is definitely warmer. There is still product in the tube and while it is starting to feel lighter it is getting passed its opening expiration so I think this will go into the empties soon!! 

13. #27 Matte Product 
From the Avene Cleance MAT Mattifying Emulsion. Which I finished in September to my  Sukin Oil Balancing Mattifying Facial Moistuiser. At the time of purchasing this I never considered that having a pump wasn't the best for travel so I had transferred most moisturer  into a travel tube for my travel bag only to stop travelling and not remember to take out and use again. I found it when looking for a replacement to my Avene. Have nearly finished the tube and still have half of the original bottle to go but well the way!!

So that ends my 13 by Halloween Project Pan Roulette Finale I hope you enjoyed reading the wrap up. Overall while I have enjoyed this project I am not sure if I would do it again. I clearly change my makeup mind too often so trying to stick to one particular set of products really isn't me and not seeing progress with the products I have used a lot of is very frustrating. I am however seeing my collection of makeup and skin care in a different light and making an effort to trying to use up before moving on to the next thing. Mascara Madness #15

I hope this post finds you well. Here this weekend with another Mascara Madness post!! As you are aware I love a good mascara and I tend to try a lot of them, having said that it has been a while since I have written one of these posts not quite sure why but I have a few mascaras to talk about and as usual will compare the pitch to the reality for each. So lets get to it!!

Covergirl Plumpify blast Pro 
The Pitch: The Plumpify blastPRO Mascara plumpifies your lashes with 50x volume boost for full lashes! This volumizing mascara has a specialized, double-action brush that vertically lifts lashes from their roots, guaranteeing plumping without the clumping — A whole new look in lashes, plumpified!

The Reality: In regards to the 50 times volume claim I don't really feel that comes true. It was also a little tricky at firest to use and get perfect results given the nature of the twisted brush and spikes at the tip which in some cases can lead a little bit of clumping. But lashes are definitely left looking fuller and substantially lifted post application and the effects are not too overly dramatic which is why I have enjoyed this mascara I love the my lashes but better look.  

Maybelline The Falsies Push Up Drama

The Pitch: The patented cup shaped bristles scoops lashes from the roots, coating and lifting them up into a dramatic 45 degrees. The creamy plumping formula is enriched with styling wax to hold the dramatic volume. Use for an intense black colour and a dramatic, sultry look.

 

The Reality: I am not a huge fan of  this one personally. The brush doesn't really comb through my lashes so I found it hard to get a fanned out and separated look. The formula is also quite wet which makes it hard to layer or prevent my lashes clumping. It takes a while to dry and the styling wax mixed into the formula just makes this mascara harder to get off at the end of the day.

Rimmel Wonder'full Volume Colourist 

The Pitch: Reveal darker lashes with and without mascara, Darkens bare lashes in two weeks. Tapered, lash-intensifying brush wraps every lash with blacker than black pigments. In an instant revealing lashes that appear fuller and longer.

The Reality: I bought this as I loved the look of the tapered brush and I do find this shape is great for getting a perfect mascara application given you are able to apply to all lashes including inner corner, as well as the bottom lash line with ease. I find with this mascara I definitely get a perfectly separated and fuller lash. As for the tinting effect to this one my lashes are dark naturally so I can't really tell if it gives a darker effect or not. A great easy to apply and build.

Maslow and Co Korea

Hey Readers,
I hope this post finds you well. Another Maslow and Co has arrived at my door. This edition comes with the country theme of Korea. This box focuses on skincare and creating a multi-step skin care routine that will help to achieve the beautiful radiant skin of our oriental counter parts!! At first I was a little wary about this theme. I don't know a lot about Korea (having never traveled there) but what I do know is that they produce some quite unique products. I also knew that without the explanation booklet that comes with the box I would have no idea what half these products are given most of the writing on the labels is in Korean text. So lets get into what I got!!

May Coop Raw sauce Essence received  a 40ml full size
Described as a daily tonic this water is infused with maple tree sap that is formulated to absorb easily to delivering intense hydration and nourishment to the skin post cleansing and toning. An interesting product and excited to try this one.

Mode Reve Angel Wash Cleaner received a full size 95g 
This cleanser is said to give your skin a deep clean without dehydrating the skin. It also will remove traces of dirt and makeup. This is the perfect skin care product for me love a good cleanser and one that also helps remove traces of make up is perfect.

ChemorLab Snow Falls Velvet Toner received a 150ml full size 
This toner is formulated to boost the skin and prepare it for the rest of your skin care routine. Although interested to try haven't used a toner in a long time.

Half Moon Eyes Fruity Wash off Mask received a full size 3x10ml packThese little pods of product contain a mask that nourishes and exfoliates the skin whilst cooling and calming at the same time. It also will clear impurities and minimise the look of pores. I know I always say I am not a mask girl but I am very interested to try these ones. I do have quite visible pores and I also have oil balance issues so happy to try and see how these go.

Lindsay Modelling Mask Vitamin received one mask full size
 Said to be a step up from sheet masks this little pot of powder is infused with Vitamins to treat dull or lacklustre complexion. I am a little intrigued by this one you not only have to make this mask up with water once applied and dried you peel it off. It also does look like a fair bit of product but will see how it goes.

Double and Zero Gold Snail Mask received one full size
This sheet mask is infused with the enzymes that are found in snail mucus. Which helps to replenish moisture, support cell renewal and improve skin vitality. Hmm not sure about this one I usually stay away from any product that is directly related to an animals and the whole mucus thing sounds a little bit gross but in the spirit of trying something new will try.

Neogen Mexian Aloe Essential Mask received on sheet mask full size
This aloe infused mask is said to provide essential nutrients to soothe and replenish skin perfect for when your skin is feeling particularly dehydrated At the moment dehydration is not a huge concern so I think I will save this one for another time.

Besone Pink Clay Mask received one sheet mask full size 
This sheet mask is infused with pink clay which combines pore clearing properties of red clay and gentle moisture restoration properties of white clay. This is another mask that I feel is right up my alley happy to give a try.

Mizon Enjoy Vital Up Time Firming Mask received one sheet mask full size 
Infused with pomegranate extract this mask addresses weakened elasticity for skin that looks more radiant, preventing skin ageing with polyphenols, antioxidants and tannins. 
Sounds good so happy to try this one out. 

Papa Recipe Honey Mask received one full size sheet mask
Infused with organic extracts and honey this mask instantly soothes and hydrate dry skin. 
Again happy to try when my skin is craving moisture. 

So the ends Maslow and Co Korea. Now while I was hoping to receive some unique makeup  from Korea (I know I am obsessed) but I also knew that we would receive some interesting items. This is a very mask heavy box and I am not sure I will use all of them but happy to have some new products that I can use to create more of a skin care routine.
