Bellabox April and March Review

Hey Readers,
I hope this post finds you well my Bellabox for the month of April has arrived it feels like I only just opened the last box!! So I will get into the review for March's box before getting into what I received for this month!!

Monoderma Skin Vitamins- Lightening and Age Prevention
I was quite surprised by these capsules not only did each of them contain enough product to cover my face and neck but the serum itself was thicker than I expected it to be. Despite this it applied smoothly and absorbed really quickly leaving my skin feeling soft. As for the lightening/age prevention aspects my skin did look a little glowier the next day as for prvention of aging I don't feel with two capsules I really can tell.

Neon & Co Treatment Oil

I have enjoyed this one this month my hair has definitely benefited from a little extra treatment this month my dry and dull looking ends of my hair actually look soft and healthy. Its light and easily absorbed.

Benefit Porefessional Pro Balm

In the past this has been the product that everyone in the world has said is holy grail and I've been the on that hasn't been impressed at all!! Despite this I did decide to try it again as it has been over a year since I used it last. I am happy to report that I have enjoyed it this time around. Definitely diminishes the appearance of pores and helps the longevity of my makeup.

La Roche Posay Effaclar Foaming Gel

I know I wasn't really impressed to see this product when I first pulled this from the box but I have to say I have really enjoyed it this month its been a nice change from my regular cleanser. It foams and cleanses really well.

Monomola Eyebrow Tattoo

This is the only product I have not used this month. The idea of a felt tip pen semi permanent product to fill in my brows has been a little daunting and so I haven't been game enough to try. But I will eventually and I will get back to you on how it performs.

So onto Bellabox for April!! This box comes with the theme Relax Refresh Rejuvenate so lets get started!!!

Nivea Q10 Anti Wrinkles Plus Replenishing Pearls received a 1.5ml sample size full size is 40ml.

This is an anti wrinkle serum that helps smooth and soften the skins surface and reduce wrinkles. Have not tried any thing from this line from Nivea so I am interested to see what its like.

WotNot Organic Facial Wipes received a pack of 5 wipes full size is 25 wipes.

These are 100% natural with certified organic ingredient facial wipes that cleanse, soothe and hydrate the skin. Whilst removing impurities, makeup and water proof mascara.  I have tried these wipes before so I know that they work well happy to have a travel pack of these.

Nuxe White Brightening Perfecting Mask received 1 full size is a pack of 6

This is a 100% cotton mask that will help to hide dark spots, improve skin transparency, moisturising, re plumping and tightening pores in 10 minutes. Have not tried any of the skin care line from Nuxe so interested to see how this works.

Sukin Hydrating Masque received a 50ml sample size full size is 100ml

This face mask combines mango seed butter, avocado and olive fruit extract to give the skin intense hydration and a healthy glow. BB released early in the month that this product was to be included in the box for every subscriber and as its the latest release from Sukin I am excited to see something hot off the press. I have also used many products from Sukin and have enjoyed most of them so interested to see what this is like.

Rimmel 24hr SuperCurler Mascara received one full size 12ml

This mascara not only offers definition and volume but the brush is designed to curl your lashes. Usually I would be really excited to see a mascara in a box but I have already tried this one so while I know its good not that excited to see it included.

Bonus Product:Nourish Naturals Dry skin Lotion received a 3g sachet sample full size is 750ml

This is a moituriser derived from natural ingredients that hydrates and leaves skin feeling smooth. As it gets colder I feel this will come in handy.

So that ends Bellabox for April.  I have to say a little disappointed with this box this month. There isn't very much variety in the products included and I am also a little taken a back that BB have included the Nuxe mask when the hero product for the month was to be the Sukin mask. Still everything in the box does fit with the theme this month and I am interested to try everything.  So until next months box  happy reading and happy shopping

Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation Review

Hey readers,
I hope this post finds you well. Today I am writing a post that has been a long time in the making it is one that I have been wanting to post but was never sure I was covering all the aspects required for a decent review post. This is also a post that I also hope to turn into a series as well as finally achieve a goal of mine which is to finally put up posts reviewing individual products. I have broken this post up into sections so if you are only looking for information on one aspect of a foundation you can go straight to that, I also have included a general overview at the start so you know what the foundation claims are to begin with. So lets get started.

Today I am going to talk about the Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation.

If you read the really really fine print on the back of this foundation bottle this foundation promises an invisible, mistake proof foundation for visibly perfected and healthier looking skin. It also claims that it is has a weightless, smooth texture that blends with the natural skin. It also offers 24 hour moisture and soft focus powders to help reduce imperfections, pores and dark circles. Now those things are really what I am looking for in a foundation. I know foundation should be paired with concealer for this purpose. But I love the idea of a foundation that can potentially do it all and almost half the products and time I need to use to cover up my imperfections and it was the main reason I picked this foundation up.

Packaging: This foundation comes in a 30ml sized glass bottle that has a plastic pump dispenser at the top. The bottle is slim lined making it easily fit in your hand, a makeup bag and great for compact travel. The plastic pump at the top makes dispensing product easy. Which means less mess and foundation build up at the end of the day.

Product: This foundation has a medium consistency that holds its shape on the back of your hand or when applied directly to a brush it applies smoothly and blends flawlessly into the skin it really reflects what the packaging states, feeling light and giving the skin a hydrated look. Coverage is medium but at the same time buildable. It also has a slight fragrance and does contain an SPF 20.

Performance: Now I know that usually a foundation review would usually be based on applying the foundation at 7am with updates through the day and final verdict at the 7pm at night. But for me I find one day of testing a foundation just isn’t enough and it really takes a couple of days to a week for me to get a good idea of a foundation, how it reacts to my combination skin and how best to apply it to suit my requirement for all day makeup with minimal touch ups and to be honest the scientist in me loves to experiment, collect data and make observations.

So after a week of testing these are my findings…On its own applied over my daily moisturiser alone I got a decent days wear from this foundation, my skin looked smooth and my main pores, redness and dark circles are diminished but by the end of a long day I was finding it had started to wear off around my nose and my forehead started to look a little cakey. However the rest of my skin looked smooth and hydrated. Over moisturiser and primer I definitely got extra smoothness and longevity but at the end of the day still an amount of wear and tear. So after much experimentation I finally found that for my skin the best way to get a full days wear from this foundation is to simply apply over moisturiser and lightly top with powder in the T zone and forehead area. It seems simple but it gave me a whole day wear from this foundation from 7am in the morning to after 7pm at night my skin looked smooth and hydrated all day long.

Purchase: Would I repurchase/would I recommend you purchase?? Yes I would. In terms of repurchase. I know in reality it took more than just this foundation to get a full days wear but the fact that alone this foundation lives up to its claims on the back of the bottle is the reason I would purchase this foundation again. A foundation that’s easy to apply, blends seemlesly isn’t heavy on the skin and leaves my skin looking natural, no redness, diminishing dark circles pores whilst making the skin look hydrated. And that is why I also would recommend this one!! To those of you looking for an easy to apply foundation and one that gives great results day after day this is for you. If you are oily/combination skin I still recommend buying just pair it with your favourite matte powder (Rimmel stay matte or Nude by Nature pressed mineral cover powder are great pairing with this foundation!!).

So that ends this review I hope you enjoyed reading this one and that you hope to see more of these types of reviews. If you have a foundation you wish me to review please comment below or via Instagram what you would like to see!! In the mean time if you are looking for a new foundation I hope this helps your choice.

So until next post Happy reading and Happy shopping.

Bellabox March and February Review

Hey Readers,
I hope this post finds you well. Another Bellabox has arrived and while its a little late for the month of March still happy to see it before I take some time off for my wedding and holidays. But before I get into what has arrived I will quickly review the products from February's box!!

Kerastase Ciment Thermique
As I said in my original post I so not heat style my hair so this one went to a college of mine that does. She said she enjoyed it and that it works really well.

Physiogel Daily Moisture Therapy Body Wash
I was really excited to receive this one last month and I have enjoyed using it. It foams and cleanses really well and I love that its gentle on the skin a nice change from my regular shower gel.

Model Rock False Lashes
I still am having trouble with applying false lashes no matter how many youtube videos I watch. So I really haven't gotten the full benefit out of these hopefully I will work it out so I can rock (ha ha) these at some point.

Designer Brands Eye Kohl Pencil in 631 Black
While I was happy to receive this one at the same time I was intrigued as to how it would apply given it looked so much like a black colouring pencil!! I was pleasantly surprised the first time I used it as the product itself is quite soft and smooth. It is pigmented and does last but at the same time does smudge easily and for stay all day liner I did find I needed to put shadow over the top. In terms of a quick and easy to use liner though this one is quite good. Will try more from the range.

Avon Luxe Couture Creme Lipsticks
These are so cute and a little tricky to apply at first but overall quite a creamy product and nice pigmentation. Great everyday and wearable colours just a shame there only sample sized!!!

So onto March's box and this months comes with the theme beauty fix so many of these products are targeted at fixing those common beauty problems!!!

Monoderma Skin Vitamins-Lightening and Age Prevention received two capsules full size is 28.
While they look a bit odd in the photo, These vitamin filled capsules are said to help fight the signs of ageing, stimulating the production of collagen as well as counteracting discolouration and fighting free radicals. I have never used a product like this before interested to see what the product is like.

Neon & Co Treatment Oil
This is an oil for the hair that says it will bring dull hair back to life. Its a lightweight treatment that can be used on all hair types and will create shine and eliminate frizz without weighing the hair down. It says to use pre or post blow dry which I do occasionally so might try next time.

Benefit Porefessional Pro Balm
This balm is known for its ability to minimise the appearance of pores leaving the skin looking mattified and flawless!!! This was the most hyped product for the box this month and to be honest I am not that excited I kinda saw this coming given benefit have just released new products to this range. Again not excited its been done we have received this in many boxes before so would liked to have tried something different.

La Roche Posay Effaclar Foaming Gel
This cleanser is specifically formulated for oily and acne and helps to cleanse the skin and control breakouts. Like the porefessional balm we have seen this product in a bellabox before!! I get its a decent cleanser but again something different would be nice.

Monomola Eyebrow Tattoo
This is a revolutionary brow pen that says its precise enough to fill in your brows without making them look drawn on!! Its also long lasting with the packaging saying 7 days eyebrow tattoo not sure about that but neverless I have never used a pen on my brows before but happy to try.

Harvest Box Health Bombs (Bonus product).
These are an all natural portion controlled snack that combination of dried fruit and nuts. For healthy guilt free snacks!! Interested to try an alternative to a chocolate treat.

So that ends Bellabox for March interested to see what all these products are like and will share my thoughts next month. Until then happy reading and happy shopping!!
