Lust Have It December and November Review.

Lust Have it November Review.

WOW another month gone already and last month LHI really treated us to a great November box and as I said in my previous post it defiantly was a five out of five for this box. I have enjoyed using all the products I received and I don't really have any fails to report. I also am continuing to use most of the products and will even repurchase a few and so this month I really wanted to review the products and add to the comments I wrote last month. Ok so starting with the Face of Australia Purifying cleansing wipes. These were really great and despite being alcohol free they still take a full face of make up off including liquid eyeliner and heavy mascara they are also are not too wet or too dry and don't leave residue on the skin post application. I have really enjoyed using these and as I have used the last wipe I am intending to purchase more. Next the Davroe Hair Wellness Colour Senses Ends Repair as I said last month my hair is long, fine and I have never coloured it so really this product was not designed for me but it does what it says frizziness is tamed and manageability is improved my hair is softer and I noticing that knots at the end. Lomasi Body Creme in Cucumber Aloe this lotion smells really yummy and is so perfect for putting on post shower it absorbs so quickly and leaves your skin really smooth without stickiness. The hologram tweezers I don't have heaps to say as they really are just a usual straight edged tweezer they work well so no complaints here. Next the ModelCo Fibre Lashxtend Mascara this was defiantly the hero product of the box and took me completely by surprise this mascara as it not only extends the lashes at the top but the brush is also perfect to catch the bottom ones as well and dries quick without stickiness it also doesn't smear or flake even in the heat we have experiencing in Queensland this month. So it is with sadness that I now say goodbye to the November box and hello to the December one.

Lust Have It-December

As you can see Decembers box was very full and heavy!!! But it was a great surprise on my door stop a week before Christmas when life was particularly hectic. So going from left to right...

Baji Face Mist

This multiple use spray is made by an Australian company and scented with rose water and infused with kakadu plum. The smell is fairly light not too over powering I am interested to give this a go not only as a hydrating mist but also as toner, makeup base and setting spray.

Everyday Minerals Cheek

I received this blush in the shade disco inferno this dusty pink shade goes on  smooth and gives a really lovely glow. This product however needs a light hand like all loose mineral powders its smooth and soft, a little bit goes a long way and be careful not to shake the container too much otherwise your product will cover your entire bathroom.

Pelactiv Hydra Daily Defence

This is a non greasy day time moisturiser that contains liposomes, vitamin A and E, seaweed extract, jojoba and avocado oils. I have not tried this product yet but the promise of it firming, hydrating and detoxifying the skin does make it sound worth giving a go.

Glasshouse Fragrances Hand Creme

The box contained two 5ml samples in the fragrances Kakadu and Water Lily and Marseille Gardenia. As well as yummy fragrances they also include shea butter and macadamia oils to help deeply nourish the skin. I have not tried them yet and given we have come into the summer months and I don't usually have dry skin problems they may not get a go till it gets a bit cooler.

Catwalk by Tigi Sessions Series Finishing Hairspray

I am not really a hairspray user but was a little excited to see this product included. Recently I have learnt how to braid my hair and pin it up in a pretty up do. But given my hair is so fine usually any styling ends up in a mess of flyaways and wispiness pretty quick. So it was reading the blurb on the can that says this spray is brushable, layerable, long lasting and firm hold that got me interested. The sunday before christmas when I was going to be out all day I styled my hair and sprayed. I am a fan its not sticky, its light enough that it doesn't feel like cement in your hair and it looked natural and held all day. I also liked how my hair didn't smell like hairspray at the end of the night and it combed and washed out quite easily. Will continue to use this as we go into round two of our party season!!!

Lust Have it Exfoliating glove

Was surprised to see this as a week before recieving my box I got an email from LHI saying that they had held sending boxes waiting for an extra item to arrive to the warehouse. It was reading their facebook page someone asked what the product was and the LHI branded glove was named. A little bit of a spoiler but needless to say was still surprised to see this included. Its not the usual type of exfoliating glove that you can pick up at woolies or priceline that  have a spiky rough surface this glove is smooth but rub on the skin and its like fine grade sand paper have not tried it in the shower yet as I had just pruchased and started using my usual exfoliating glove but I will give a go and tell you next month how it went.

The picture below is of the perfume sample included by LHI its Daisy by Marc Jacobs this was added as a bonus product to the box. Hey who doesn't love a good bonus product!!!

Ok so that concludes Lust Have it for December. This has been another great box from LHI and I know I have said this before but I do really enjoy these boxes more when there is lots of variety. Lust Have It have included products that I may not use reguarly but have pushed me to give something new a go. So as we are about to embark on a new year I wish you all the best for 2013 my it bring much happiness and adventure.

Love Ever.

Lust Have It November and October Review.

Lust Have it- October review.
Just a quick overall review for last months box as I don't have a whole heap to say. Out of the six products I received I only actually used two of them. As for the others the mask in a cup I just didn't get a chance to use. The ready to use wax strips as I said in my original post I get waxing done professionally. The star and rose bath fizzer well I don't have a bath so it had little chance of getting used. The other two Avene products just didn't impress me. So back to the products that impressed me. The Avene Cleanance gel and the Nyx Cosmetics girl nail polish. The cleance gel I originally didn't think would hit the mark but I have been impressed it cleans well, takes makeup off and doesn't leave residue or leave my skin dry or feeling tight. The Nyx cosmetics girl nail polish what can I say love love love. This was my first black nail polish and just in time for halloween. It did take three coats to get good coverage but dried fast and didn't chip. I also used it layered with a dark red colour over the top and got asked alot what shades I was wearing perfect. OK so two out of six isn't great BUT Lust have it turned up the volume for November.

Lust Have it-November
I'm acctually really excited about this box I'm not sure where to start. Ok so for November LHI are giving us products to compliment the summer months ahead but also the party season and I guarantee probably find them all come in handy!!!

Face of Australia Purifying Cleansing Wipes
I'm a fan of this companies makeup and I'm also am a regular makeup wipe user I love their convenience particularly when I'm travelling as well as after a long night out when the energy to wash my face just isn't there. Recently I have discovered that some of the preservatives used are not great for ones health, I also have noticed that many are changing formulation and no longer actually take off makeup as well as they used to. So as for these as far as I have read they do not contain the nasty preservative, they are alcohol free and claim to cleanse, tone and nourish. With 25 wipes its not only a full size pack but enough to know whether these will do the job!!!

Davroe Hair Wellness Colour Senses Ends Repair
As we know Davroe products have been included in many products of LHI boxes and my bathroom cabinet certainly has a collection so was excited to give another of the range a go. It is also apt that going into the party season more hair styling will be done and more hair product will be required. Now at first reading colour senses I was a little disappointed being sent something for coloured hair when I don't colour my hair but reading the tube I realised this is a formulation could still be of benefit to me. This cream repairs and seals split ends as well as prevent breakage it also claims to tame frizz and improve manageability. My hair is long and fine and does have tendency to dry out at the ends particuarly in summer. Will give it a go and see what it does for non coloured hair.

Lomasi Body Creme- Cucumber Aloe
This soft smooth cream is a winner for summer amazingly it doesn't smell like cucumber but sweet like a perfume. The cucumber properties have been used to cool and reduce swelling while the aloe to smooth, soothe and revitalise. Trying just on the back of my hand its seems to absorb quick without stickiness leaving its lovely scent behind so can't wait to try it all over.

Star and Rose Hologram Tweezers.
These are too cute for words so girls if you live with a sister or house mates are female hold on to these as they might just go missing!!! I was in need of a new pair so pretty happy to see these included in the box star and rose is also a brand I haven't used much before so will see how they go.

ModelCo Fibre Lashxtend Mascara
So this one is defiantly the hero product of the box and I think will all make us stay subscribed to this box a little longer particularly when you consider this product alone it worth nearly twice as much as what we paid for the entire box. I am always excited to see a makeup product particuarly a mascara and I'm excited to give this ago. Mascara as you know is not a product I go without and I'm always excited to try a new one its also exciting that its just the one step so its swipe and go!!!

As you can see in my photos the colourful background has been provided by the cosmetics bag that the products came in. Over many months I've recieved many different coloured versions so it does sadden me that LHI have decided to let them go. But onward and upward I await the surprise of what is to replace these bags.

So as you can tell I'm loving the November box and I think this time it will defiantly be a 5 out of 5 of products used and loved. I can't wait to see what LHI come up with for December. They really have stepped up with this box an I hope this standed stays. Boxes are $14.95 a month so if you wish to join up go to  http://www.lusthaveit.com.au/.

October Bellabox Review and November Bellabox

October Bellabox Review

WOW another month gone and I have been extremely busy so I have to say I'm happy to be sitting down to write this post. I really enjoyed the October Bella box and as my November box has arrived I thought it time I shared my thoughts.

Estee Lauder Resilience Lift Instant Action Lift Treatment.
Easy to apply and very light on the skin but don't really feel that I personally got any true benefit out of it, given I'm late twenties my skin is still taut and terrific (and yes I am bias) so lifting and firming just really isn't warranted.

Clinique Turnaround Concentrate Extra Radiance Renewer.
I really enjoyed using this one and a little bit went along way. So easy to smooth over and go, no wait to dry. My skin does feel smoother and rough patches around my nose have been minimised. I have not use this twice daily as directed so I still have product left and will continue to use.

Sally Hansen Insta-dri Fast Dry Nail Colour.
I already owned this colour when I recieved this last month but I have to say its still impressive. This soft pale pink is the perfect colour when you want to wear polish but don't really want the colour. It also makes the perfect base to a french manicure or when you want to support colour tips but not have the base colour overshadow. These also come with a wide applicating brush and fast dry is perfect for someone as impatient as I am.

Carmex Moisture Plus Lip Balm-Sheer Pink Tint.
To be honest not a fan. I love the original and use it all the time. So was excited that I would be able to give this ago even before I'd seen it in store. The colour is a really sheer despite looking so vibrant in the tube. It still is as moisturising as the original but it doesn't last as long I found I'd apply and 10 mins later feel I needed to reapply bit disappointing.

DKNY Fresh Blossom Eau So Intense.
Sadly the vial of perfume broke while in transit so I never got to try on the skin. But my box still smells pretty and I've been keeping hairbands in it for storage.

NAK Care 4 Ends Leave in Moisturiser.
Another product from the box I have really enjoyed. Easy application and beautiful smell it gives moisture without leaving my hair overly fluffy and unmanageable. Its so easy to put in comb through and style no fuss. I'm a fan!!!

So overall a really great box for the month of October but we must say good bye to the October box and HELLO to the November box!!! As usual Bellabox haven't slowed down  sending a box that gets us in the mood and ready for the party season.

November Bellabox

Soiree Season Staples is the theme for Novembers box getting us preped for summer and the christmas party scene. And BellaBox have covered us from head to toe!!!

Palmolive Luscious Mango Body Butter Body Wash
Not the most excited about this inclusion but then I realised that this would make the perfect addition to my travel toiletries I've recently decided to down size my travel pack and this will slip in just nicely!!! It also smells really nice so bonus there.

Organic Spa Face Exfoliant
I'm a face scrub fan so I'm interested to give this one a try. I have roughness around my nose and flaky patch in between my brows so challenge is set for this one!! It includes natural ingredients including luffa, walnut shell and rice bran but also creamy. I'm hoping its not overly rough but also not too soft so it gets the job done.

Ocean Essence Gold Eye Cream
This is the first of the full sized products included in the box. Infused with 18K gold, pearl essence and shea butter. Although I'm not into eye creams reading the packaging I was prompted me to try!!! I've only used it once but I'm happy with the results my skin is softer and does seem to have a slight glow so I'm happy to keep using and see longer term results. Also remember to apply eye creams not directly to the lids or under the eyes like you would concealer. Apply onto the brow bone and below almost at the eye socket level seems low but natural capillary action will carry the cream upwards were it does the job without puffiness and irritation.

Bloom Glitter Liquid Eyeliner
Again a full size product and I received the shade Star Struck which is a purple glitter. While I love makeup I don't feel I suit glitter on my eyes having said that I have seen this used on the nails to create a giltter tip and nail decorations so I'm going to give that a go.

Bioderma Sebium H2O Cleansing Water.
Initally I was not excited to see this after recieving the Crealine version of this product in another box (not sure if it was Bellabox or Lust have it) I wasn't that impressed. I am a long term user of make up wipes due to the convience factor but I've recently read a common preservative used in the wipes can be harmful to your health at the same time I also have been questioning there efficiency particularly when it comes to mascara and eyeliner. Well I can now say I stand corrected. This stuff is gold a simple cotton pad soaked in this product and my make up is gone it makes short work of eyeliner and mascara too. I have also compared it with the other version (hiding in the back of the bathroom cabinet) and this one is so much better my skin is cleaner and I will have to investigate the full size!!!

Swisse Hand Cream with Vitamin D and Pomegrante.
Was a little excited to see this as I have been wanting to try out the Swisse range since seeing it in priceline it is a little expensive which is why I've held off so very happy to be able to try before I buy. I'm a bit lazy when it comes to applying hand creams but I intend to carry this tube with me so I can apply at anytime. I wash my hands a lot at work and soap does dry them out quite a bit.

4me Nail Polish Remover Pads
Bellabox has read my mind with these ones I have been looking for something like these for ages I used to use a swisspers version but can't seem to find them. These are great for travel but also good for being able to take your nail polish off where ever and whenever you want!!!

So that wraps it for Bellabox November with three full size products and decent sample sizes this is a box that value for money. can't wait to try all the products and will review next month!! Enjoy the party season everybody and I'll talk to you all soon.

Lust Have It October!!!

Lust Have It October - Fun and Flirty!!!!

So my Lust Have It arrived on Monday and I have to say it made my day. I knew I was unable to post this straight away so I have given some of the products a try so I would be able to give a little more of a review. Lust have it  embraced the pink theme that blesses October and in remembrance of breast cancer awareness all the product were contained in a cute pink gauze bag. So what was in the bag I hear you say...

Mask in a cup
I received this in natural active clay the idea is simple peel off the lid, add water and your ready to go. This one contains yellow and white clay as well as pomegranate, calendula, green tea so I'm hoping it smells yummy and I'm eager to give a try.

NYX Cosmetics Girls Nail Polish
Now I have it say that I was excited by this item I had wanted to paint my nails for Halloween and this glossy black fitted perfectly its in the colour NGP 143 Black. It did take three coats to get an opaque enough finish but it applies smoothly and dries quickly.

Avene Cleanance Gel
This is a soapless cleanser but despite that it stills foams a little and smells reasonable what can I say it does the job. Post cleansing my skin feels clean, soft and not tight perfect!!!

Avene Cleance Emulsion
This is a lotion that applies easily and smells reasonable. It does smooth the skin out so I can see how it would be great as a makeup primer. It wears well and does seem to control shine.

Avene Cleanance K cream gel
This is a gentle exfoliator of the skin. I applied this post moisturising it does smell a little odd but my skin does feel smoother and I'm interested in using this a bit more and see longer term the results are.

Caron Waxaway Ready to use sensitive wax strips.
These are ready to go wax strips that can be used at home and don't require heating. The sample kit contained two strips and an after care wipes. I have not used these yet and probably wont, I do wax but prefer to get it professionally done.

Star and Rose White Bath Fizzer
This smells amazing!! But I do not have a bath in my house so most likely I will have to wait until a romantic weekend away to give a try!!!

We also recieved a $15 off at adorn cosmetics voucher and a voucher to try harvet box which is a company that sends out snack boxes direct to your door. Have not used either yet as I just could simply not decide on one only product at Adorn and cannot afford the whole website!!! And I just have not a chance to organise the harvest box.

Overall I am happy with this box and will keep my subscription going its not bad value for $15. To subscribe to lust have it there website is http://www.lusthaveit.com.au/ its easy to sign up and have your box of goodies sent out every month.

Bellabox October

Bellabox this month not only have turned ONE but also turned PINK!!! As October marks the month to support the National Breast Cancer Foundation but also Bellabox are donating a $1 from every box sold to the Look Good Feel Better Foundation. It nice to know that not only did I receive a beautiful box, a birthday treat but have helped a worthwhile charity in the process.

So what was inside... Well the photo above kinda gives it away but I will go through all the things individually anyway.

Nak Care 4 Ends Leave in Moisturiser. $13.95 for 200ml
This was at the top of the box and I was amazed to see a full sized product straight up and reading the packaging I was astounded by the amount of things this cream can do. As a moisturiser, detangler, Uv and thermal protector as well as increasing softness of the hair and restoring shine. I'm excited to give this product a go. I prefer all in one products so it will probably get more use than most of the other products in my bathroom cabinet at the moment.

Estee Lauder Resilience Lift Instant Action Lift Treatment 30ml $100.
This tube may be small (5ml sample) but I feel this tube will pack a punch. Able to lift and firm the skin with long term use boosting the skins collagen production and elastin retention. Despite that I'm in my late twenties and probably be using a skin treatment I'm also fairly forgetful when it comes to using treatments consistently. So this whenever where ever product is ideal and as a bonus it can be used over makeup!!!!

Clinique Turnaround Concentrate Extra Raidiance Renewer. 30ml for $74 and 50ml for $102.  Now I know what your thinking expensive!!! But this is the best part of beauty boxes you get to try before you buy with no guilt trip into buying something at the counter to make up for receiving a free sample or even having to buy the full size straight away just to give it a go. Reading the BB info card it informs that this serum exfoliates the skin and promotes skin renewal without causing irritation. It was that statement that has prompted me to want to give this a go I hate wanting to use a product but in the back of my mind knowing that it will most likely irritate my skin and cause breakouts.
Have not had a chance to try but will keep you updated on the result.

Sally Hansen Insta Dry Fast Dry Nail Colour 9.17ml $13.95 and I recieved the colour 150 Petal Pusher. Another full size product YAY!! don't you just love birthdays!!! This fast drying nail polish is a god send to the impatient like me I don't really paint my nails too often but when I do I want instant results. I also already own this colour so without even opening this one I know its a great base for a traditional french manicure but also a great colour that gives a little more than clear but soft enough to wear everyday.

Prestige Cosmetics Skin Nude Foundation 25ml for $24.99.
Was excited to see this sample sized addition as I have recently read an glowing review about this foundation and wanted to give it a go. The shade I recieved is 02 not sure if this will be a perfect match but I like that I can give it a go see how it feels wears and reacts with my oily combination skin.

Carmex Moisture Plus Ultra Hydrating Lip Balm Sheer Pink Tint $8.99. Yet another full size product and the one I am most excited to try. I reguarly use the clear version of this product and when I heard Carmex were bringing out the pink tint version I was excited to give a try. These lip balms are the best of both worlds you get the moisturisation and tingle of the Original Carmex (the one in the pot with the yellow lid) plus a gloss all in a handy twist up. Love love love!!!

DKNY Fresh Blossom Eau So Intense 100ml $135. Before I had even opened my box I could smell this scent and it certainly lived up to the intense name but at the same time a scent that I feel is wearable. Sadly the reason behind my intence hit was that the vial of perfume had broken during transit so I wont get to see what its like on the skin.

Last but not least Bella box included a sweet treat in the form of a Chocolatier Pink heart chocolate these are yummy and I certainly have enjoyed others from previous boxes but this one smells like perfume so probably wont be giving it a go!!!

Overall this box is amazing I feel I have received a birthday gift and its not even my birthday. These boxes are great value and I enjoy that you get a little bit of everything with every box and for $14.95 including postage its a steal!!!. http://bellabox.com.au/ this is the Bella Box website and I recommend you give it a go if you don't already!!!

Hope your having a wonderful day
Catch you soon

Mascara Madness

YAY!!! my first Make up product post!!! I'm so excited that I am finally getting this blog going and that I am semi confident enough to put this one out there everyone to read. I hope you enjoy its only a quick post in what I hope will be a series. Mascara is something I use most days and despite the fact that packaging says you can use for six months once opened my eyes do not agree. I have a tendency to rotate through a couple of mascaras and generally only use them for a couple of months. So onto the mascaras in question the last couple of months have been Almay's One Coat Get up and Grow in 010 Blackest black, Maybelline's the One by One Volum' Express in Satin Black and Australis' Lash TLC in blackest black.

I start with the Maybelline as out of the three it was my least favourite. At the time of buying this mascara it was really the price that was the selling point after seeing it around for $12-14 dollars. I found it in a clearance bin in Woolworths for $8.95. I was in need of a new mascara and thought I would give it a go. The brush is one of the rubber ones with little spikes to catch your lashes the back of the tube says that it catches, coats and cleans, in this respect advertising is true and lives up to its One by One title as lashes a caught, coated and separated. On the down side however NO volume. I expected darker and fuller lashes and really all I got was lashes that looked like my own and felt a little sticky!!! More natural look that volumised. I'm not sure whether this is a design issue with the brush but if volume and thicker lash look is what you want don't bother.

The next is Almay's One Coat Get up and Grow this mascara I received in a monthly subscription box. I was excited this mascara claims to help lashes grow longer and vitamin infused formula helps guard against damage and breakage. To be honest I'm really not sure whether it did or didn't what I loved about this mascara is the brush its a regular bristle type brush just a little larger than your used too but makes sure this mascara lives up to its name of one coat!! And it means ONE coat you need no more to do its job and it does clump slightly if you do but you don't have to do anything else one swipe and go. I also really enjoy that you pull the brush out and don't have a huge glob of mascara on the tip no need for a tissue to wipe excess off or ending up with product build up at the top of the tube!!! It's not a volumising mascara but you do get definition.

The last is my current favourite...... Australis' Lash TLC (Tender Lovin' Care) conditioning mascara. At the moment this is my go to mascara it gives great definition  coats and separates the lashes without clumping. Its bristle brush is slim lined perfect for the inner corner lashes and does the lower lashes without smudges. The brief does say volume, lengthening and holding lash curl which I guess it does but its not a falsies look its more natural and defined like the Almay one coat you don't need heaps of coats for it to do the job but I do recommend using a little bit of a wiggle when you coat you top lashes just seems to help coat lashes better. This mascara also dries quickly without stickiness!!! Again I recieved this in a beauty box subscription but you can easily pick up from target and priceline.

Ok!! So much for a short post!! Hope everyone likes this please give feedback.
Will talk to you all soon
Thanks
Ever.

Start from the beginning!!!

Have absolutely no idea were to start so I guess I should start from the beginning....
My name is Ever and for the last couple of months I've been wanting to start a beauty blog, I have gotten into makeup and skin care via watching you tube and subscribing to beauty boxes. It really has ignited a passion I really never knew I had. I've watched and read so many others and thought I'd love to give that a go but you tube really isn't me, i'm too shy for the camera!!! So I thought a blog would be the next best thing. So hopefully in the next few weeks I can put up more interesting posts than one about myself something that's beauty related and that someone might actually want to read!!!
