Bellabox July and June Review.

Hey Readers,
I hope this post finds you well. Today I am here with another BB and this post is a little late going up as I actually received this box last week but didn't get a chance to write this post until this week so without prolonging this too much further I will get into the review for June's box then show you what I received for July.

Your Tea Skin Magic Tea.
As I said in my original post I am not a tea drinker. My other half did give it a try though. He said it has an ok taste and wouldn't be something he would probably purchase.

Neutrogena Hyrdro Boost Water Gel
If youv'e seen my 13 by Halloween post you will know that this is my first sample to be used up. I do like this moisturiser its really hydrating and seems perfect for this time of year when you want something a little denser for the cooler months but at the same time doesn't feel heavy. The only reason I don't buy the full size is it comes in a tub which is quite bulky and hard for travel.

Dermal Therapy Lip Balm
This is an interesting balm. At first it was like putting on the good old Vaseline lip balms in the squeezy tube but then the tingle I usually get from a carmex lip balm kicked in took a little bit to get used to but overall have really enjoyed this one. Its hydrating and it definetly helps keep dry chapped lips away.

Mizon Tone up Sheet Mask
As I said in my original post I wasn't impressed with recieving this. This one went to a friend who will appreciate it more than me.

Cetaphil Gentle Cleansing wipes
Still love these,  great thing for on the go and travel. Lend themselves to pretty much anything. They are so gentle on the skin and don't leave residue.

Magnetix Nail Polish
Didn't really get the magnetising part of this right but I love the gold colour and it was fairly long lasting.

So now onto July BB. July's box comes with the theme back to basics and I have to say most of the products included do reflect the theme. so lets get into it!!!

Klorane Shampoo with Quinine and B Vitamins received a 25ml sample size full size is 200ml.
This shampoo is formulated to promote strength, restore thickness and maintain healthy growth. As much as I know this shampoo is a decent one not that excited to see it included as I have already received a sample of this in a recent edition of the parcel.

Klorane Conditioner with Quinine and B Vitamins received a 10ml sachet size full size is 250ml
This is the conditioner to the Klorane Shampoo and once again infused with Quinine and B Vitamins to strengthen and detangle. I used to use the nourishing and untangling  conditioning balm in this line so happy to give another version of this a try.

Physiogel Calming Relief Lotion received a 50ml full size tube.
This lotion is light weight and fast absorbing and it contains a complex of skin smoothing and replenishing lipids to relieve dry and irritated skin. Interested to try this one out while I don't have sensitive skin myself a product that relieves dryness and irritation and that can be used all over the body is really appealing.

Gosh Mono Eyeshadow recieved one in the shade 016 Aubergine
These eyeshadows are said to have a smooth texture and be beautifully pigmented. Aubergine is a dark purple that has a slight shimmer running through it. Really happy to see a makeup item included in this box and cannot wait to try this one.

Revo Lip Balms received one in the scent Tangerine
This sweet smelling lip balm combines aloe and vitamin E to condition and moisturise the lips. This compact balm is also small enough to fit into any handbag pocket!! I have not tried a round lip balm like this before so interested to give this a try also the bright packaging will be easy to find in any bag!!!

Baimeni Hydrating Eye and Face Serum with Hyaluronic Acid received a 3ml sample size full size is 30ml.
This hydrating eye and face serum not only hydrates, rejuvenate and replenish the skin it also helps to control excess oil. Interested to try this one I like the idea of a product that multitasks.

So that ends the box for July. Happy with whats included and interested to try mostly everything I have received.  Will give you my thoughts next month. Until then Happy reading and Happy shopping.

13 By Halloween Roulette!!!

Hey Everyone,

Hope this post finds you well. Today post is inspired by a Youtube video I watched recently ( Finish 13 by Halloween 13)  posted by Mary Lovetart. 13 by Halloween Roulette is a quirky take on the traditional project pan. There are 52 categories and using a random number generator such as Random.org. 13 of these become the basis of the products you choose to use up, with the goal being they are finished by Halloween (31 st October). I just instantly loved this idea. Not only do I love shopping my stash I also have had a box of items from a recent de clutter that I hadn't quite worked out what to do with. I am also a person that constantly changes my makeup mind so I am interested to see if I can finally finish something!!!!

1. #28 Blush

My blush collection is a whole draw and it was one I recently decluttered as the draw was getting hard to close!! So I did turn to my box of de clutter products for this one. Its a box full of items that don't quite work for me but for some reason or another I keep them in my collection. This blush is the perfect example of that. I bought it for the same reason I can't let it go the heart patterns in the blush itself. If you haven't guessed already I'm talking about the Physicans Formula Happy Booster Glow and Mood Boosting Blush. Beautiful packaging and the heart shapes are just so gorgeous but the shade Natural is just that natural. It gives a subtle glow and little something to the cheeks but it really doesn't do a lot for me. I really do prefer a pop of colour to the cheeks and its the reason I don't really reach for it. But I'd like to find a use for it so that is why I include it and I am also interested to see if I can make a dent in it as I find Physicans formula products can be a little never ending!!!

2. #25 Something in a Stick/Tube

I originally thought it would be hard to choose just one product but this item was the first thing I picked up and it is perfect. Bloom Foundation Stick in Base Three I have a love hate relationship with this one. Well more hate than love if I'm completely honest. I love it because its the first sick foundation I have found that applies and blends easily, the stick is also perfect when you want extra coverage to the spot areas. But sadly it just doesn't give me a full days wear even with powder over the top. It has a tendency to disappear and sometimes go a little patchy. But I want to use it up so perfect for this project!!

3. #34 Something Shimmery

For this one it was a case of so many products so little time!! But highlighter was the first thing I thought of when I read this category. I picked this one up as it has been sitting in the back of my draw for the longest time and I know I don't use highlighter reguarly but at the same time I don't really know why I don't reach for this one. Physicans Formula powder palette Mineral Glow Pearls in the shade Beige Pearl. In the pan it looks like a bronzer and highlighter in one but swatched its more of a gold toned highlight. Interested to get more use out of it.

4. #19 Matte Lip Product

In my recent de clutter most of my lip products were discarded as I never wear them and for hygiene reasons I couldn't really find them a better home. So this is the closest I come to a matte lip product. One of the only lipsticks that survived the cull. Savvy by db Lipstick in the shade Nude its not matte but it doesn't have a lot of gloss either its a slight sheen and I only kept it as I actually reach for it when I want to wear something either than balm.

5. #43 A Neutral Coloured Item

I'm not sure what made me pick this product up for this one but it is perfect for this category. e.l.f Mineral Eyeshadow Primer in the shade Sheer. This is definitely a product I need to make more use of. I am terrible when it comes to applying a primer before eyeshadow. But then find myself disappointed when shadows have moved or faded throughout the day!!! Sheer has a slight pick undertone but still makes for a great neutral base.

6. #30 Nail Polish

I was so happy to get this one. I've never really finished a lot of products but I don't think I have ever come close to finishing a bottle of nail polish. This is also a current obsession for me and I have never been a huge nail polish wearer. Rimmel London 60 Seconds Super Shine Nail Polish in the shade 345 Black Cherries its a beautiful deep purple that I am loving the perfect winter colour!!!

7. #40 Sample Product

Again so many products so little time with this one and given we are talking sample products that I am going to try and set an extra challenge of trying to finish as many samples as I can in this time. But the first on I am going to start with is the Neutrogena Hydro Boost this was literally the most recent product I have received in sample size so I thought it a perfect one to start me off.

8. #37 Maybelline Item

At first I reached for my age rewind concealer but I thought that was too easy particuarly given its already in my makeup bag. So instead I am going to try the Super Stay Better Skin Skin Perfecting Concealer in the shade Medium. I bought this when I bought a bottle of super stay foundation and while I liked this better than the foundation it never became a concealer I have reached for. Interested to see how I go using this over the age rewind!!

9. #14 Something I have already hit pan on
I change my makeup mind so often that I don't hit pan on too many things so this compact is the only thing I found that has seen that much love. Youngblood Pressed Mineral Foundation in the shade Neutral. A little while ago I went through a mineral makeup  phase and Youngblood was my brand of choice their loose powder foundation is gorgeous and I used it and still use it a lot for special occasions but when it came to touch ups a tub of loose powder and fluffy brush just doesn't work in a small clutch. This compact is slim line and perfect for on the go, it has a mirror and small space for a sponge which isn't my preferred application but it works when going to an event. Neutral also means I can pair it with any foundation I am wearing at the time.

10. #47 Lip Gloss

This was kinda an easy one not only have I not got that many lip products but I wore this to death a couple of months ago but after a weekend trip away I realised I had lost the tube. The next time I saw it on special I picked it up then promptly found the original in a pocket of my travel bag. So with two I can certainly afford to use one.  Max Factor Colour Intensifying Lip Balm in 40 Exquisite Caramel this is a gorgeous easy to wear balm that has a good amount of colour and a good amount of gloss to it without the stickyness.

11. #21 Something you regret purchasing

Models Prefer Rose Nude 10 Shade Eyeshadow Palette I find this hard to write about I enjoy so many products from this brand and this just isn't the palette I thought it would be. I bought it as a trial palette as I really wanted to give rose toned shadows a try and I chose this over others as one I hadn't tried shadows from models prefer before and two it has a mix of matte, shimmer and glitter shades. Overall the quality is decent and as a beginners palette easy to work with but they just don't have the pigmentation I was looking for. The colours when swatched on your hand don't really transfer to the eyes. I also find that there is a lot of fall out and its not just the shimmer shades and there always seem to also be a little bit of powder kicked up when you  dip you brush into the pans as well. At the end of the day though I have always picked it up again and again due to the fact I enjoy this brand and want to try more looks with these shades.

12. #45 Skin care Item

I originally drew #32 Nail Strips I don't actually own any of these. The last set I received in a beauty box I gave away. So I re drew another number. For #45 I have chosen MOR Orange Blossom Hand Cream this I opened last Winter and given its got an 18 month open expiry so its probably best I use it up. The scent is beautiful and the hand cream itself is moisturising I just have to remember to apply it!!

13. #27 Matte Product
Out of all the categories I drew this was probably easiest to find a product for. Being oily and oily combo girl I own a lot of matte products so it was hard to settle on one but this was at the top of my list. Avene Cleance MAT Mattifying Emulsion. This has been a long time favourite but like the amount of times I change my makeup I am often trying new skin care. There is probably half a tube left so probably should finish it off.

So that ends my 13 by Halloween Project Pan Roulette draw. I am interested to see how many products I can finish. I will come back in October to tell you how I went. I will also put the numbers and categories if you too want to give this a try. Let me know if you do.

Until then happy reading and happy shopping.

June Favourites

Hey Readers,
I hope this post finds you well. It has been forever since I wrote a proper monthly favourites post and I love writing these posts so I am disappointed with myself that I haven't included one on my blog for so long. Everything this year has been really busy so over the many months I really haven't had too many new products or rediscoveries to talk about. But this all changed in June. I made an effort to change up my makeup bag, rediscover products from my makeup draws and I actually bought some new items!!! Its been a good month in makeup and now I have a few things to talk about.

Covergirl Stay Luminous shade 342 Medium Beige and Loreal Infallible 24h matte 22 Radiant Beige.
This has been my go to foundation combination for probably the last two months. I love different aspects of both these foundations but on their own I just find myself wanting more. In regards to the Covergirl I love the medium coverage and finish of this foundation it goes on smooth, blends well and builds without looking cakey and while I am aware that luminous foundations aren't really the best for longevity on combination skin even on the less oily parts of my face this foundation just does not last all day. The Loreal is also really great going on smooth, blending and building well and I do get great all day oil control but a lot of the time this foundation looks too matte to the point of looking a bit mask like. Together however I get everything I want in an everyday foundation. Easy to apply and blend, build. Medium coverage, oil control and all day coverage that looks natural.

E.L.F. Contouring Blush and Bronzer Duo in Fiji Matte.
I bought this off iHerb in April and for a while not sure why I just didn't pick it up for a long time but during May that all changed I finally opened the box and it really has been in my makeup bag since. It was during June however that it really became my go to. I have tidied up my makeup draws recently pulling out products that I haven't felt suited me or ones that I don't reach for often and put those into my makeup bag to give them one last go before either keeping or finding them a new home. So after so many not so great blushes and bronzers it was nice to have something in my makeup bag that I could rely on. Both blush and bronzer are on the warm side but I have found that so great for the cooler months. The blush is berry tone that gives a gorgeous flush to the cheeks. The bronzer while warm makes a great contour it applies and blends well not too orange or brown.

Prestige long lasting total intensity eyeliner in bold brown
For a while I have been on the hunt for a brown liner that is as good as my much loved bloom cosmetics brown liner. While this isn't the perfect match to my much loved liner this is nearly as good. The liner itself is smooth and creamy so easy to apply, its so pigmented making it so easy to define the lash line. I do find to create the perfect wing the tip of the pencil is a little wide for me but with the help of a liner brush its very easy to create the perfect one.

Nivea Lip Butter Raspberry Rose
I cannot tell you enough times how much I enjoy these lip butter. So smooth, creamy and moisturising. Perfect in the cooler months when everything is dry perfect to slip into a handbag for on the go.

Burts Bees Moisturising Lip Balm in Pink Grapefruit
Introduced to me in last months Bellabox I have been enjoying this product since first try. As I wrote in my BB review never really loved the minty tingle of Burts bees products in the past and this is the first I have tried that doesn't have the minty effect and I have really enjoyed it. The balm itself is so soft and moisturising really does help protect from dryness and lasts a decent amount of time.

Pantene Pro V 3 Minute Miracle Conditioner
I have always loved this conditioner treatment from Pantene and stopped buying it a long time ago as the small tubes it came in just became too expensive and when I has long hair I often used most of the tube for my long hair and when they only came in a pack of three it didn't last too long. Ironically the month I cut my hair short Pantene bring out my once much loved conditioner in a 180ml tube. Despite this however like the colour of the packaging this stuff is gold!! I have never had another conditioner that leaves my hair as nice as this does. Usually my hair feels soft and smooth post conditioning but is often so slippy that it becomes really unmanageable and hard to style I also find that the soft and smooth feeling doesn't last. With the 3 min miracle my hair is soft, smooth, manageable and even on day three my hair still feels good. I recommend you try.

So that ends my favourites for the month of June. What are your favourites I would love some new products to try?? Until next time happy reading and happy shopping.

Bellabox June and May Review

Hey Readers,
I hope this post finds you well. This month another Bellabx has arrived at my door this month and I know I say this a bit but I cannot believe another month has gone past. I am just flawed that half the year has gone!!! So without much further rambling I will get into my review of May's box then onto what BB has sent me for June....

Cocoswish Oil Pullling
I was excited to try this one but sadly with the cool weather we have had here in QLD it has hardened in the tube and I haven't gotten the chance to try.

John Frieda Luxurious Volume Touchably Full Shampoo and Conditioner.
I really enjoyed this one this month. The box had arrived just before I went on a weekend away so these were the perfect for my travel toiletries. It not only washes well but definitely gives an amount of volume to the hair I have really enjoyed using this one.

Derma E Purifying Charcoal Mask
This was an interesting product from May's box. As a mask it goes on easily and as it dries you can see it drawing out the impurities in the skin. Then get into the shower add a small amount of water to the fingertips and you have a great scrub that works really well, washes off easily and leaves your skin feeling soft and smooth.

Karen Murerll Lipstick
I am such a scardy cat when it comes to a red lipstick I want to find the perfect shade for me but I never feel it looks right and never walk out of the house wearing it. Despite that this lipstick is smooth to apply and has great pigmentation.

Burts Bees Lip Balm
This is my most used product from the box this month and I am quite surprised at just how much I like it. I never really loved burts bees products as they always had that mint oil added and I don't really like the tingle on my lips and a lot of the time I also found the mint smell overpowering. They must have changed their formula because this is the first of their products that I have enjoyed from the word go. The balm itself is smooth and moisturising. The grapefuit scent is enjoyable and not too strong. I have carried in my handbag all month and find myself reaching for it all the time.

So onto what Bellabox has sent for June and this months box comes with the theme of Winter Switch and the card in the box gives step by step instructions to achieving perfect winter skin.

Step one: Your Tea Skin Magic Tea received 9 tea bags full size is a pack of 60.
This pouch contains 9 tea bags that help to keep your skin healthy and body warm. A special blend that helps aid digestion, balance hormonal, acne or eczema prone skin. Not a big  tea drinker but happy to give it a try.

Step two: Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel received a 5g sample tube. Full size is 50g
This water gel says it will double the skins moisture and give the skin a healthy radiant glow within one hour!! I have already tried this one so I know its good smooth and cooling on the skin definitely makes it feel plump and healthy.

Step three: Dermal Therapy Lip Balm received a full size 10g tube.
This is designed to help keep chapped lips at bay a concentrated formula that softens and hydrates severely dry lips. Always happy to have a good lip balm on hand particularly with the cold chill that keeps sweeping across the state also great as we get into the middle of winter.

Step four: Mizon Tone up Sheet Mask received one mask.
Containing a concentrated amount of vitamin C this mask aids the synthesis of amino acids and collagen. Helping to reduce pigmentation and blemishes. At the same time brightening the skin. I am not that excited to see this one included not only am I not the biggest mask user we have now received a mask in three boxes in a row its getting a little repetitive.

Step 5: Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleansing Wipes received a full size pack of 25 wipes.
These cleansing wipes remove impurities as well as makeup. Formulated for sensitive skin so they are gentle on the skin, pH balanced and perfect for removing impurities without stripping the skin of natural protective oils. I have already tried these so I already know they are perfect for all occasions.

Step Six: Magnetix Nail Polish received a full size 10ml in the shade Metallic Gold
This nail polish is easy to apply quick drying and long lasting and with a magnetic particle included in the formula allowing the creation of individual designs. Interested to see how this works a bit of a fun edition to the box.

So that ends June's Bellabox and I am interested to try most of these products and cannot wait to share my thoughts with you next month. So until then happy reading and happy shopping.
