Bellabox May and April Review

Hey Readers,
I hope this post finds you well. Sorry for the lack of consistency with blog posts lately I have been trying to post every week like usual but at the moment life seems to be getting in the way just a little, things are so busy that at the moment that putting a post together and up just doesn't happen. Thank you for understanding and hopefully things will get back to normal soon!! OK so today I am back to talk about Bellabox. Another months box was delivered this week and I was keen to see it arrive the little present just for me has just been what I needed. But before I get onto this months goodies I will review the ones from last month I have been enjoying!!!

April Bellabox Review

Nude by Nature Pressed Mineral Cover

This was definitely the most used product out of the box this month.  I have really enjoyed this being in my makeup rotation this month. The product itself is smooth, easy to apply gives a good medium coverage and helps keep me matte will most definitely be buying the full size.  

Swisse Bioactive Nature Oil

Another product from the box that I have really enjoyed this month.  And I have to say that I have been both surprised and impressed by this product this month. The pump inclusion was probably the first surprise and I have to say for an oil based product best addition to packaging ever.  The product itself is easy to dispense, apply and absorbs really easily. I really enjoyed it as an alternative to moisturiser to counteract dryness on my legs post shaving which I have struggled with a bit as the weather has gotten colder.

Joico Shampoo and Conditioner

As shampoo, conditioner sachets go this is a decent product and I enjoyed using it. As a product it washes well and conditions nicely and left my hair feeling good. As this is a product more recommended for coloured hair which I don’t have I cannot say that it helps longevity of colour. 

Dr Roebuck Everyday After Wax

I only ended up using this a couple of times but it worked really well and I loved how it wasn’t as thick and heavy as some of the previous creams in this category that I have used had a good scent as well. 

Akin Revitalising Cellular Radiance Serum 

This I have only used a couple of times so I am not sure I have really gotten the full benefit out of it. Goes on smooth and absorbs quickly so happy to keep trying.

May Bellabox

So this months box has finally arrived and BB have collaborated with POP Sugar to give us a box with the theme sugar fix!!! 

Chella Cinnamon Highlighter Pencil 

So this was the much hyped product to the box this month and I couldn't avoid the spoiler email that said we would either be receiving the Chella Cinnamon or Ivory Lace version which together make the perfect contour kit. As you can tell we only got one half of the kit and I received the cinnamon which says its perfect for contouring or if you have darker skin tone highlighting. Happy with that as I generally contour more than I highlight anyway. This is a versatile and easy to use pencil which having swatched on my hand you can see straight off you get a really precise application, the product itself is quite creamy and blendable so I am interested to see what its like on the face. I have a few events this month so it will definitely get a good try!!

L'oreal Paris Glam Matte Lip Gloss 510 Cherry Crop

This is an intense lip colour that not only gives a matte finish but also has quite a sweet scent it has quite a soft and balmy consistency. Cherry Crop is a deep pink that for a non lip colour wearer is quite bold. Not sure about this one yet but will give it a try.

Impulse Romantic Spark received a 1.5ml deluxe sample full size is 57ml 

This perfume in a spray has notes of wild violets, warm florals and earthy wood tones. As far as I can tell this is a newer fragrance in the impulse line its an ok scent but overall impulse isn't my favourite thing so this may most likely go into the find another good home draw. 

Chapstick Cookies and Cream 

This is an exclusive to BB this month as this scent isn't due for release until later this year. Always happy to have a good lip balm and happy to give a try. 

Palmers Cocoa Butter Formula Moisture Rich Night Cream received a 15g deluxe sample full size is 75g 

This is an overnight repair treatment containing cocoa butter and retinol as well as powerful combination of anitoxidants and vitamins that help promote a softer, smoother and younger looking complexion. I think I may have tried a sachet sample of this before so interested to try again with the opportunity for a few more tries. 

So that ends Bellabox for the month of May and looking at all the products together the theme of sugar fix is definitely reflected in all of these items and I am interested to try everything I have received and cannot wait to share my thoughts with you next month. Lust Have It

 I hope this post finds you well. Now today I find myself writing about something that I haven't written about in a very long time and to be honest a topic I never thought I would write about again. Lust Have It now I know what your thinking  after my statement via Instagram and my blog post at the start of the year featuring this company and product the biggest fail of 2014 after being incredibly unhappy with the service, communication and products etc that you wouldn't see a blog or see me write about this company again. But I did say that I would possibly write about LHI when I was once again impressed and for the first time in a long time I can say that I have been impressed with what I have received from Lust Have It. Now I am not saying that with one box they have turned their product/service around because they really haven't and I still wouldn't recommend taking on a subscription BUT I am wanting to give credit where credit is due and give you a small glimpse at what I used to enjoy receiving these boxes month to month.

Model Co BB Plus Cream received a full size tube in the shade Medium
Yay for receiving a decent makeup product something we haven't seen this in a long time. This is a multi tasking skin perfector cream not only offers to moisturise, prime, correct and protect from UVA and UVB damage. All while being paraben and fragrance free. Excited to try this one I haven't tried any base products from Model Co before so interested to see how good this is. 

Appelles Hair Care Duo Pack Black Seed Shampoo and Tamanu Conditioner received a 35ml deluxe samples full size 500ml
Blackseed shampoo includes both rosemary, ylang ylang and lavandin super which says it will remove toxins, strengthen hair, help moisturise, restore volume and shine. Tamanu Conditioner contains powerful antioxidants that also helps restore moisturiser, fortify and boost resistance to split ends. Another product that I am interested to really try, Not only have I not tried this brand before but with this higher price point I am wanting to know if it really does what it says it will.

Uriage Tolederm Soothing cleanser water received an 8ml sample full size is 250ml and hydra soothing cream 3ml sample full size is 30ml
The cleansing water cleanses the face removes impurities and makeup and can both be left on without rinsing or drying out the skin. The soothing cream helps to soothe and calm irritating skin. While I am interested to try both I am a little more excited to try the cleansing water to see if it really does remove makeup and how it feels on the skin.

Urban Skin Care Daily Body Cleanser received a 35ml  full size is 500ml
This body cleanser is water based and pH balanced and says it will effectively remove dirt and impurities without stripping the skin. I have already received two different moisturiser from this brand in previous boxes so I know that this is a decent brand and hopefully product. 

Lonvitalite  C3 Collagen Firming and Moisturising Facial Mask received one mask.
This mask includes red wine and collagen that provides antioxidants that help to reduce free radicals in the skin, increase skins resilience, firmness whilst reducing visible signs of fatigue. As you know I am not really a mask user but I am planning a pamper pack for a mum that needs some me time so this will go perfectly with that pack.

So that is it for the LHI pack and what has been included is very similar to the boxes I once used to receive.  And I cannot wait to try these products and see how they go. I am also liking that there is consistency across the boxes and that all subscribers have received the same products. I know it is not always possible given their isn't always enough products sent from the companies involved, But its nice to see that products and value of the box is equal particularly when we have had to wait for this delivery so long. This is for the month of March and given that there will be no box for April these goodies will have to last. Lets hope the next box is as good as this!!! Bellabox April and March Review

I hope this post finds you well. This week my Bellabox has finally arrived and while its a little bit later than normal I am happy with what I received and I cannot wait to dive in to try!! But before I get into Aprils box I will review March's box!!

March Bellabox Review

Colour Therapy Eye Pencil 
Was really happy to see this inclusion and I have to say for a pharmacy and cheaper priced product this product is really great quality. The pencil itself applied easily and colour pay off was reasonable and it did last all day. While it was great to use a colour that I do not usually I still don't think its my colour so will most likely pick this one up in a different shade!!

Nivea Sun Light Feel Face Veil 
Another product I was really excited to try this month and I have to say it didn't disappoint. Light on the skin, easy to apply and not sticky. I also have been liking having the 30 SPF particularly when I have been using a foundation that doesn't contain any SPF. 

Palmers Cocoa Butter Formula Creamy Cleanser and Moisturising Day Cream. 
Both  great products that do a great job. To be honest I have used the cleanser more simply because I have multiple day creams on the go. Overall though the cleanser is soft, creamy, cleans well and smells great. The moisturiser is also light on the skin, absorbs well. 

Kerastas Resistance Bain Force Achitecte Shampoo
While I only got one try from this sachet I was impressed with how well it cleaned and how soft it left my hair. May have to investigate the full size.

Stabilo Neon Highlighter
Now I know I don't normally review the bonus products to the box but I just had to include a quick note about this one. Despite all the controversy about this inclusion it really has been my most used product of the box last month. I took it to work and it has really come in handy practically everyday and its small enough that it fits easily into my labcoat pocket!!! 

April Bellabox
April comes with the theme of Mindful Beauty and looking at the selection of products I received most are based on natural ingredients, predominately chemical free and are targeted at improving the skin or being good to the body in some way!!  

Nude by Nature Pressed Mineral Cover in the shade Medium received a 3g sample size full size is 10g 
I was quite surprised to see this in the box this month as this is the latest product from Nude by Nature and one that I have actually looked at buying. As you know I do prefer pressed products so when I saw that Nude by Nature where coming out with a pressed range I was eager to try. This however came out while I was on my no buy during Easter and even though Priceline had 40% off all cosmetics I still had to resist the urge. Now I am kinda happy I get to try before I buy. Its a medium to full coverage foundation is a light weight powder that says it gives a flawless semi matte finish that lasts up to 8 hours. It is also made with 100% naturally derived ingredients. Interested and excited to try!!

Swisse Bioactive Nature Oil received a full size 60ml bottle.
This is a naturally sourced face and body serum that says its easily absorbed into the skin and contains 100% naturally sourced ingredients to help improve the overall appearance of the skin. Able to be used on scars, ageing skin, dehydrated skin, uneven skin tone and sun damage. Interested to try this one love that it comes with a handy pump at the top cannot wait to see how it goes. 

 Joico Shampoo and Conditioner Color Endure received a 10ml sachet sample of both products full size is 300ml.
This shampoo and conditioner are both sulfate free and said to clean and nourish coloured hair whilst protecting vibrancy and longevity of colour. Usually I wouldn't be fussed about receiving a sample for coloured hair despite the fact that I don't colour my hair but I am disappointed about this one. The included product card says I could have received the K Pak version which is targeted for fine hair (which I have) helping repair, strengthen and protect so it would have been perfect for my hair type. Disappointed I did not receive the one for my hair type when it was available. Will give it a try any way.  

Dr Roebuck's Everyday After Wax received a 50ml full size 
This is a soothing moisturiser that helps repair skin after shaving and waxing whilst helping to prevent ingrown hairs. Interested to try this I do wax and sometimes suffer from in grown hairs so very happy to try and see how it goes. 

A'kin Revitalising Cellular Radiance Serum received a 5ml deluxe sample full size is 23ml.
This facial serum says it contains anti aging properties and ingredients that help to increase skins suppleness, elasticity leaving skin looking more radiant and youthful. Not usually a serum user but still interested to try and see how it works.

Original Source Shower Gel received a 7ml sample full size is 250ml
This is the bonus product for the month. I have used this shower gel before so I already know that it is good and a small sample of this will be handy for travel.
